Just a short time ago, we struck gold in a new era when sports betting strategies were being introduced to the American public as the legalization boom spread across the country. Just like anybody interested in the rapidly growing industry, I sought out the most important statistics and best methods to do the impossible – make money betting on sports.
Picking the more experienced roster wasn’t the answer, and neither was siding with the team that had more rest days in between games. With so much information available to the betting public and sportsbooks sniffing out the successful strategies to minimize their impact, I needed to think outside the box to find my edge.
After a few trial runs, I finally found a system that worked. Over the course of a few weeks, asking people I matched with through dating apps for a pick on the point spread along with the reasoning resulted in 60% winners. If you’re unaware, that’s an incredibly high number, and even those who do this for a living will generally never reach that percentage on a consistent basis.
Times were good with six consecutive bowl game winners before this particular dating app shut it all down. I remain convinced every sportsbook in America had a hand in this because they knew they were about to go bankrupt had it continued much longer.
I don’t usually speak in absolutes, but I’m willing to say with certainty it was the best sports betting + dating app collaboration to ever exist. The pics were hot, but the picks were even hotter.
That trend should continue with our guest picker for the First Four.
As much as she would probably love to shout from the mountain tops that she matched with such a handsome man like myself on any sort of dating platform, our guest pickers remain anonymous. The only information that will be shared publicly is she recently received the honor of being named the Culver’s Teacher of the Week, and I will never let that go unnoticed.
If you’re looking for betting advice for the NCAA Tournament’s First Four games before the real Madness begins, here’s a look at a few Sizzling Hot Picks against the Spread with some analysis to get you on your way to a profitable couple of days.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi vs. Texas Southern
I’ll go Corpus Christi, cause when I read that out loud my dog perked her head up and was intrigued lol
Sizzling Hot Pick: Texas A&M-Corpus Christi +3.5
Indiana vs. Wyoming
Wyoming because Indiana has some messed up ideas for the department of education and they’re automatically a no go every time. We don’t Indiana.
Sizzling Hot Pick: Wyoming +4
Bryant vs. Wright State
Bryant. Because I don’t know what either of those are and if I choose the first option this time instead of the second the ocd will not be happy lol
Sizzling Hot Pick: Bryant +3.5
Notre Dame vs. Rutgers
Notre Dame because that’s the only name I recognize 😂
Sizzling Hot Pick: Notre Dame -1
These choices don’t have to be sports/stats oriented, right?
No, they do not because relying on stats is the old way of thinking. If you’re reading this as a sports bettor, congrats on a 4-0 start before the first round even begins.
