Texas was predicted to be the landing spot for 2023 5-star QB Arch Manning by On3 national recruiting analyst Gerry Hamilton.

Arch Manning is ranked as the top overall 2023 prospect by all four major recruiting sites and in addition to Hamilton, On3 writers Justin Wells, Zach Berry and Eric Nahlin have previously predicted the Longhorns to win this recruitment. If the Longhorns can get a commitment, Steve Sarkisian would have the most talented QB duo you’ll ever see with Manning and Ohio State transfer Quinn Ewers, who is in a QB battle with Hudson Card this offseason. Texas has been considered the frontrunner to add Manning for a while with Alabama and Georgia right behind. None of the three schools added a quarterback to their 2023 class yet, so it’s certainly possible they’re all waiting for his decision before moving forward. Things are trending in Texas’ direction, but nothing is a guarantee in recruiting especially considering how quiet the Manning camp has been during this process.
