korey foreman recruiting

The Early Signing Period has come and gone with the next signing period about a month away on Feb. 3. In between, teams across the country are still battling for the final pieces of their 2021 recruiting class. Some of the best players in the entire country have yet to commit to a school, and many will do just that on Saturday, Jan. 2 in the All-American Bowl. The actual game has been canceled due to COVID-19, but instead the annual event will feature nine players expected to announce their commitments. This includes the highest-ranked recruit in the 2021 class, according to the 247Sports Composite, with Korey Foreman. Other players who will be committing on Saturday include 5 stars Tristan Leigh and

2021 NFL Draft Big Board 1.0

nfl draft big board

We are still nearly half a year away from the 2021 NFL Draft, but with the regular season of college football all wrapped up, this is the time of year players declare for the draft and teams really can start stacking their big boards. The current class looks to be another deep offensive group especially at wide receiver, offensive tackle and quarterback. On the defensive side of the ball corner, linebacker and edge rusher appear to be the deepest positional groups. With all-star games, the combine and more tape to evaluate a lot can change, but here is a look at some of the guys most likely to be playing on Sunday next year. Players 1-30 1) Trevor Lawrence, QB – Clemson 2)

Clemson football: Tigers have momentum heading into the playoffs

clemson football

Admittedly, I felt shaky about Clemson’s chances of launching a deep playoff run after its suspect win over Virginia Tech. All of that doubt was eviscerated on Saturday during the team’s dominant 34-10 win over Notre Dame in the ACC Championship Game. With a healthy roster, Clemson football steamrolled Ian Book’s Fighting Irish, and the Ohio State Buckeyes are next. Everyone knew Clemson had a guaranteed spot in the top four entering Selection Sunday. The College Football Playoff Selection Committee granting Dabo Swinney’s team the No. 2 rank heading into the semifinals didn’t surprise anyone. The Tigers enter the postseason as the only team in the top four to win their conference championship by more than two scores. Ohio

Notre Dame football: A disappointing showing at the ACC Championship

Notre Dame football

Notre Dame football knew Saturday's game was not going to be like previous games in the regular season, but a 34-10 loss to Clemson was not what it was envisioning. Fighting for its first conference championship in program history, the Irish also had the potential to end Clemson's five-year streak as ACC Champions. Unfortunately, that business was not attended to. With Trevor Lawrence and a healthy Clemson defense back on the field, Notre Dame could not keep up with the improved Tigers. Rough start The Irish had many opportunities in the first half to prevent Clemson from taking a big lead. Taking the lead with a field goal early in the first quarter, Notre Dame seemed to be off to a strong

Top 5 Heisman candidates

The Heisman trophy is given to the most outstanding player in NCAA football. This player also shows how valuable they are on the field and to their team. Here are my top five candidates to win the Heisman Kyle Trask (QB, Florida) Kyle Trask has made his way into the Heisman picture because has been playing very well as of late. The Florida Gators are now the No. 7 team in the nation. Trask is a huge reason for the success. For the season, Trask has thrown for 3,317 yards this season. He also has 40 touchdowns and only five interceptions with a QBR of 90.3. Those are caliber quarterback numbers and that is why he is at the No. 5 spot. Ian Book

Notre Dame football: Do the Irish have a secure spot in Playoff?

Notre Dame football

For Notre Dame football, this is the first time it's ever playing in a conference championship. For the entirety of their existence, the Irish have been independent. That was until this year when Notre Dame broke that tradition and joined the ACC under much pressure. As COVID-19 was threatening the chance of having any normal season, the Irish made a decision that would give them better stability in a time of unknowns. Looking back, Notre Dame's journey in the ACC was quite successful. Being the only undefeated team in the conference, the Irish proved their dominance. Now, Notre Dame has the opportunity to continue this season in the College Football Playoff. Before there is any confirmation on the Irish's next step,

Notre Dame football: The differences in the rematch against Clemson

Notre Dame football

In just two days, Notre Dame football will be colliding head to head with the Clemson Tigers. Facing off in the ACC Championship, both teams are fighting for a secure spot in the College Football Playoff. Currently, Notre Dame is No. 2 and Clemson is No. 4. As Clemson has already been upset by Notre Dame in double overtime back in November, the Tigers might have more to lose. Nonetheless, this game is monumental for the Irish and there are many challenges that are present now that were not present in early November regarding Clemson's qualifications. Early November showdown We all remember the epic game Clemson and Notre Dame had during the regular season. The Irish walked away victorious, allowing themselves to

Clemson Football: Key players for defeating Notre Dame

clemson football

On Nov. 7, Clemson football suffered its only loss of the season in a double-overtime game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Ian Book planted his flag as one of the ACC’s best quarterbacks while Kyren Williams announced his arrival on national television against the country’s top team. However, the Tigers have Trevor Lawrence back in the fold and can’t wait to get another shot at Brian Kelly’s Fighting Irish. Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers need to win the upcoming ACC Championship Game. Without the conference title, Clemson won’t make the College Football Playoff. Notre Dame could lose and still get in, but winning the title would cement its spot as a top-two team in the nation. It’s a do

Clemson football: Tigers look rusty heading into ACC title

Clemson football clinched its spot in the ACC Championship Game with a 45-10 win over Virginia Tech last Saturday. However, it was far from a flawless performance by the defending conference champions. The Tigers need to get their act together before facing off against the undefeated Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Dec. 19 in a battle for a Playoff bid. While Dabo Swinney’s team demolished the Virginia Tech Hokies by 35 points, it was a seven-point game at halftime. Clemson finally pushed the floodgates open in the second half, but the offense wasn’t dominating Virginia Tech’s vulnerable defense. Likewise, Clemson’s defense gave the Hokies too many chunk plays. Virginia Tech actually finished the game with more passing yards than Clemson and
