Texas football won’t be playing Kansas like initially planned. The last regular season game for the Longhorns this Saturday got canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Game postponed before The Texas game against Kansas got postponed a few weeks back. Back in late November, the Longhorns should've played this game coming off of their second bye week of the season. Instead they received an extended break and played Iowa state the weekend after. This resulted in Texas having an extended break and not playing an actual game for just under three weeks. Kansas State football lost its final game of the season when the Texas Longhorns beat the Wildcats 69-31. Reasons for Texas win The Longhorns were the better team heading in and were able to beat the Wildcats by 36 points. This was the most points scored on Kansas State by Texas in 13 years. The K-State Wildcats were down early in the game and were trailing by 14-10 at half. It looked like the Wildcats could have mounted a comeback, but that didn’t happen. Texas football blew its only chance to reach the Big 12 Championship game after it lost against Iowa State 23-20 on Friday. Let’s see what happened in this game. Sam Ehlinger Ehlinger did all he could to bring Texas to the Big 12 Championship but just couldn’t. He finished the game with 289 passing yards with one touchdown and added 65 rushing yards with one touchdown as well.
