Good morning to the good people in the Deceptive Speed audience, which up until now includes my mom, my therapist and gambling addicts I’ve enabled over the years. I hope you all survived your annual Labor Day festivities. Is there one person who has a Labor Day tradition? If so, I’d love to hear it.
Over the next 24 hours, we’ll be rolling out our newest additions to the family through Deceptive Speed’s newly created Student Section with college kids across the country joining the site as writers in addition to podcast and live stream video hosts.
Sports media companies require their talent to be well-versed on a variety of platforms more than ever before, and Deceptive Speed’s Student Section will gain fantastic experience writing online, learning how to convey their thoughts in an audio format and appearing live on camera. I designed this program to be exactly what I would’ve been looking for when I was a college student.
We brought in some hardworking, determined young content creators looking to make a name for themselves by writing about their favorite college football and college basketball teams. They will also be part of an upcoming podcast called Deceptive Speed University and additional live stream broadcasts under the Deceptive Speed umbrella.
A few of them have already gotten started through our College Football Campus Kickoff show that debuted last week. Aside from a few technology glitches and an underwhelming performance from the host (that would be me), I thought the show went fantastically well and will be a weekly staple every Thursday night at 6 p.m. CT.
Be sure to welcome the newest editions from the Deceptive Speed Student Section.
