Hello everyone, I’m Greg and I’m currently a senior at The University of Houston studying Broadcast Journalism. Growing up in Texas, I’ve always had a huge passion for football. I started playing in middle school and continued through some of high school. Because I was born in Houston, I also have a very huge passion for basketball that rivals my love for football. I started writing for both sports once I officially declared my major in 2017 and fell in love with the process.
While also writing articles for The University of Houston, I am a play-by-play commentator for the women’s basketball team. I briefly started commentating about a year ago, and I haven’t looked back since then.
I am excited to be covering Houston football because I’ve been interested in the constant changes to our football program. From new head coaches, to major transfers signing here and key players ultimately transferring out to different conferences. Needless to say it’s been an up and down roller coaster for this team, and I look forward to covering it every step of the way.
