Meet Oklahoma football writer Mady Daddario

Hi OU football fans, I’m Mady Daddario. I grew up in Frisco, Texas but now live in Norman, Oklahoma where I attend the University of Oklahoma. I’m a Junior majoring in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in communication. Growing up in the Dallas area with a life consumed by football I always knew I had to go to a school with a killer football team and a huge stadium. Obviously, that’s partially how I found myself in Norman, Oklahoma, where I now get to bring to you here on Deceptive Speed all things Sooner football.

Growing up sports was the one constant in my life, between playing competitive soccer from the age of 7 until 18 and being dragged to whatever football or baseball game my brother was playing that day my life has pretty much always revolved around sports. I, unfortunately, was also blessed with being the only girl in my family so there was really no escaping the world of the sports world for me. Luckily, I quickly grew a love for all sports but more specifically, fell in love with the one sport I will never get the opportunity to play, football.

I have always believed that you should mix what you are passionate about and what you are good at to find the right career. For me, that just so happened to be talking and sports, so it only made sense that I go to school as an aspiring sports journalist. (I know talking about football and getting paid to do it…sounds so terrible right?)

So gear up Sooner fans for yet another amazing season (per usual), reported on by yours truly here at DeceptiveSpeed.com.
