Destyn Hill recruiting: Decision day for 4-star wide receiver

Update: Destyn Hill announced on Wednesday he will be playing college football at Florida State.

 

A significant number of college football recruits for the class of 2021 signed their national letters of intent in the Early Signing Period in December, but there are plenty of talented prospects announcing their decision on National Signing Day including wide receiver Destyn Hill. Players in the 2021 class can sign on National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 3 and can do so anytime before the Aug. 1 deadline.

Let’s get to know a little more about Hill and where he might end up. He is expected to make his decision on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Destyn Hill Recruiting bio

Destyn Hill is a four-star wide receiver according to the 247Sports Composite player rankings and attends Edna Karr High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is ranked 113th nationally in the composite and is the 13th-highest ranked wide receiver and No. 5 prospect from the state of Louisiana.

Hill was expected to make his decision during the Early Signing Period but delayed on signing so he could focus on his high school team’s playoff run, according to Rivals. He stands at 6 feet tall and 200 pounds and previously went by the name of Destyn Pazon.

Destyn Hill has reported scholarship offers from some of the biggest brands in the sport, and the full FBS offer list according to 247Sports includes Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Houston, Kentucky, Louisiana Tech, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Purdue, Tennessee, Tulane and South Alabama.

Destyn Hill put out a top-five list on his Instagram page on March 29, 2020 that included Alabama, Florida State, Oklahoma, Florida and LSU.

Where’s he headed?

Destyn Hill appears to be the newest member of the Florida State Seminoles as 247Sports and Rivals both have him slated to head to Tallahassee. Heading into Mike Norvell’s second year in the program, Florida State currently ranks No. 30 according to the 247Sports Composite team rankings, which is sixth in the ACC. The Seminoles already signed two wide receivers in the Early Signing Period with four-star Malik McClain and three-star Joshua Burrell.
