Deceptive Speed will break down every single conference tournament from a gambling perspective the day each tourney starts. You’ve lost quite a bit of money this month in the past whether it’s food, drinks, gambling or bracket pools. The goal for 2020 is to make you some money in March for the first time in your entire life.
We’ve reached the first Saturday of conference tournament season, and four more tourneys get started today. For now, we begin with the Summit League tournament.
The Bracket
The Bracketology
Deceptive Speed Bracketology is giving North Dakota State a 15 seed with the Summit League tournament’s automatic bid.
The Odds
North Dakota State +180
South Dakota State +200
Oral Roberts/South Dakota +400
Nebraska-Omaha +2000
North Dakota +3000
IPFW +3300
Denver +12500
The Suck
Denver seems like a pretty cool city to visit one day, but I don’t have enough money to make the trip because I spend it all on conference tournament bets. This could be my big break if I put $10 on Denver U to get take home the title. If that were to take place, I’ll pocket that $1,250.
The Bet
As I mine for the value, we’re going to go after the top-seeded North Dakota State Bison. It’s going to be between them and South Dakota State, and the odds are pretty much even. Being able to play well at home is important when it gets to postseason play, and guess who is the only team above .500 away from home. It’s my North Dakota State Bison, who will win this tournament for the second consecutive season.
