Wednesday Bracketology 2/5/2020

Through the entire month of February, Deceptive Speed’s Bracketology will update on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

Our first mid-week Bracketology. We told you it was coming Wednesday and I actually got it done. Nothing changed on the 1 line like I said would happen. One of the biggest movers is Michigan State. The Spartans dropped two straight. I told you all Michigan State was going to wipe out the Badgers Saturday afternoon. That was the reverse jinx and it worked. Wisconsin got another top-25 win, but it cost Michigan State a seed line. Then, they lost at home to Penn State which dropped them one more.

I’m finally on the Saint Mary’s bandwagon. I didn’t want to put the Gaels in because of their three bad losses. But if I don’t put them in, they’d be the only team inside the top 40 not in the field. So here we are, three teams from the West Coast Conference and three from the Atlantic 10. And with that, it cost the Big Ten a bid. It’s either that or the fact that Tulsa won and Houston lost so the Golden Hurricanes are in. Minnesota just missed the cut line because of their adjusted winning percentage, but they have the perfect opportunity to get back in with a win over the Badgers tonight.

So any who, here’s our mid-week Bracketology, which will be on the Bracket Matrix along with everyone else.
