With the coronavirus flyin’ around, players and coaches aren’t expected to be shaking hands after the game, but that does not mean requesting an assault is off limits. After Washington’s season-ending loss in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament, head coach Mike Hopkins was caught on camera talking with Arizona head coach Sean Miller.
What was said? You be the judge.

I’m not the best of lip readers, but after a thorough investigation of watching the video 6 times, I conclude he said, “Beat the shit out of everybody.” I’m not sure if this is supposed to be directed at a certain team, but Hopkins seems to yell it with so much anger on his face that there has to be more to this.
With no outside noise during NCAA Tournament games, it’s possible we’ll be able to hear conversations like this if the broadcast teams decide to do things a little different for the occasion. Imagine a mic’d up Coach K after a loss. We could hear the exact words he uses when he yells at an opposing team’s player.
After watching a few more times, it’s possible he said, “Beat the shit out of em, buddy.”
